Tuesday Feb 24, 2015
Tuesday Feb 24, 2015
This episode features plant based educator, writer and businessman Howard Jacobson. He is the co author of the book Whole with Dr. T Colin Campbell. He also has a podcast called plant yourself. We talk about his plant based journey and the quest to find truth in scientific research regarding nutrition. We also discuss permaculture and the importance of knowing where your food comes from. The fact that the drive in window suppling a large number of American meals without the source or quality of our food ever being questioned is alarming. After this interview I am strongly thinking of expanding our lanai vegetable garden. I hope this episode makes you more comfortable with the scientific proof that plant based nutrition is a health promoting way of life and not just a fad diet of those trying to temporarily shed the pounds.

I had the distinct honor of interviewing T. Colin Campbell, PhD, on this episode. He is the author of the famous book The China Study. This book documents the scientific evidence that plant based nutrition is the optimum diet for health. His other books include Whole, which discuss the problems with the reductionary approach to dietary studies and conclusions. His late test book The Low Carb Fraud, bluntly explains the fallacies associated with high protein diets. He gives fatherly but scientifically great information about the benefits of eating a plant based diet. I hope you enjoy.
